Little Pretty Things will be hosting a scrumdiddlyumptious chocolate workshop as part of Explore York's celebrations to mark Roald Dahl Day, Saturday 11th September at 12.00 - 2.00pm.

The whole family are invited to a chocolate workshop to create chocolate treats that Willy Wonka himself would be proud of. The festival also features as part of York's Big City Read, with a range of events celebrating Chocolat by Joanne Harris, during the day participants will be able to drop into the newly refurbished Explore and take part in activities with a Roald Dahl theme for the whole family. Come and explore the wonderful world of Roald Dahl, watch and marvel at the magician, visit the travelling zoo with its furry friends and mini-beasts, listen to tales of magic, solve Roald Dahl puzzles as well as create some fantastical chocolate creations to take home and share.

Join us to discover what sort of chocolate maker you would be in the world of Roald Dahl - are you sharing and sensible like Charlie Bucket? Are you careful and thoughtful like Matilda? Are you experimental and creative like George? Or are you gross and gruesome like The Twits, we hope you can join us to put your chocolate making skills to the test. You can drop into the workshop at any time between 12.00 and 2.00pm at Explore York.
